Low voltage capacitor units. UK and UKM series reactive power compensation units
The units are intended for the application in general-purpose networks with a voltage of 0.4 kV for controlling the reactive power of inductive electric energy consumers with constant consumption of reactive power. Application of uncontrollable devices is appropriate for individual and group compensation.

About of UKM. Low-voltage controllable capacitor units.
Controllable units can smoothly be adjusted to variations of consumer load on a real-time basis by changing the value of applied reactive power.
Active power is regulated stepwise by connecting/disconnecting the capacitors by means of contactors. The total capacity of such a unit is taken so that to keep the given cos φ in the maximum reactive power mode.
Application of controllable units allows avoiding overcompensation, viz. capacitive effect of cos φ in the network and consequently, rise of the load upon the power/substation feeders.
The unit steps are automatically controlled by microprocessor-based reactive power regulators.
